Relaxation after treatment in convivial surroundings, with like-minded people, is an integral part of the process of improving a patient’s wellbeing.
We are fortunate to have a alcohol licence and the Bar is located on the ground floor of Flint House. Open from 1800 until 2230 Monday to Thursday and Sunday 1800 to 2200 with drinking up time until 2300 (2230 on Sundays). Alcohol in moderation and good company can assist in the rehabilitation process. Alcohol may only be consumed in the bar and immediate surroundings i.e. Patio/TV Room
For those who wish to have quiet time, perhaps reading or spending time on the internet, Wi-Fi is available throughout the Centre, but do be aware our rural location currently can lead to an inconsistent connection when large numbers of users are on line. The quiet lounges with a stock of books are available in Flint House and Flint Fold where officers can relax in peace and tranquillity indoors and out.
Tea and coffee at no charge is available in both Flint House and Flint Fold Lounges 7.30am to 10.00pm and 24 hours in the Time Tunnel. Flint Fold has a constant boiling water dispenser available 24 hours for use with drinks sachets.
Pool, Snooker and Billiards are available in Flint Fold but we do ask patients to be mindful of those wishing to sleep in nearby rooms both in the daytime and evenings, as well as table tennis in ER 1.
Outside there are is a putting green, boules pit, and a golf driving net (for those with own clubs) readily available in the Summer months. There is now an outdoor fitness trail in the woodlands around the Centre and an all-weather surface on which a game of bowls can be played or exercise undertaken all year round. Assessed walks in the rural locality are mapped out for the use of patients as well as access to local bicycle routes (Patients will need to bringtheir own cycles)
Flint Fold also provides a Multi-Faith prayer room for use by all faiths situated in Flint Fold on the first floor.
