 1. Casual Security Officers

Goring on Thames

The Police Rehabilitation Centre, a charity for the rehabilitation of injured serving and retired police officers set in a stunning rural location in Goring on Thames, is looking to recruit Casual Security Officers to be able to cover ad hoc shifts between 4pm and 8am.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining the integrity of the site for the safety and protection of the patients and staff as well as the premises
  • routine patrols and security checks
  • providing front of house support to patients
  • supporting the nursing and administration staff

The successful candidate will have good customer service and communication skills, an ability to think on their feet, basic computer skills.  D1 on driving licence and previous experience an advantage.   Own transport essential.

2. Part-time Security Officer

6.5 hours alternate Saturdays

Goring-on-Thames

The Police Rehabilitation Centre, a charity for the rehabilitation of injured serving and retired police officers set in a stunning rural location in Goring on Thames, is looking to recruit a Security Officer to work 5pm – midnight alternate Saturdays.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining the integrity of the site for the safety and protection of the patients and staff as well as the premises
  • routine patrols and security checks
  • providing front of house support to patients
  • supporting the nursing and administration staff

The successful candidate will have good customer service and communication skills, an ability to think on their feet, basic computer skills.  Previous experience an advantage.   Own transport essential.

3. Security Officer

34 hours/week

Goring-on-Thames

The Police Rehabilitation Centre, a charity for the rehabilitation of injured serving and retired police officers set in a stunning rural location in Goring on Thames, is looking to recruit a Security Officer to work an average of 34 hours/week on a rolling 6 week rota, covering 4pm – 8am, 7 nights/week.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining the integrity of the site for the safety and protection of the patients and staff as well as the premises
  • routine patrols and security checks
  • providing front of house support to patients
  • supporting the nursing and administration staff
  • driving a minibus on occasion (D1 essential)

The successful candidate will have good customer service and communication skills, an ability to think on their feet, D1 on their driving licence, basic computer skills.  Previous experience an advantage.   Own transport essential.

4. Assistant Gardener

37.5 hrs/wk

Goring-on-Thames

The Police Rehabilitation Centre, a charity for the rehabilitation of injured serving and retired police officers set in a stunning rural location in Goring on Thames, is looking to recruit an Assistant Gardener to work an average of 37.5 hours/week.   Some weekend work will also be required.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting with ongoing maintenance and presentation of the Centre’s gardens and grounds covering 20 acres
  • Border maintenance including weeding, mulching, staking and plant care
  • Using a range of garden machinery including small tractor, mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters
  • Maintaining safety of pathways and drives through leaf blowing and sweeping
  • Liaising with contractors on projects within the grounds
  • Assisting with general facilities maintenance tasks

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with a passion for gardening, enjoy manual and heavy work and be able to work outside in all weathers.    They will have experience of working within a garden of similar size and a sound knowledge and use of horticultural machinery.    Relevant qualifications would be advantageous or a willingness to undertake any necessary training.   Own transport essential.
